I remember once when Diana and I were in prayer and we had Christian music on in the background. A song came on that we had not heard before and we were both touched: “You Never Let Go” by the David Crowder Band.
The storms came! The disaster came! The waters rose above our head! Oh, my. But He Never Lets Go! No, He does not. He is there for each of us for every moment of the day, for every storm that we experience. Hallelujah!
It is like when you teach a child to swim. You are in the shallow end of the pool or lake, and as you take them farther out, you ask them, “Do you trust me?” They say, “Yes,” but then they add “Please, don’t let go of me!” Isn’t that just like how we speak with Jesus? We say, “Lord, we trust You.” But then we add, “Please, please Lord, don’t let go!”
This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe! I can never be lost to your Spirit! I can never get away from my God! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, you are there. If I ride the morning winds to the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me; your strength will support me. If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me. For even darkness cannot hide from God: to you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you.
Psalm 139:6-12
So today, Lord, we give You thanks, for You never let go! It does not matter where we are at; it does not matter what the problem is; it does not matter that we have sinned—You never let go! We give You Glory. You are our Awesome God! You will move mountains for us if they are in our way; You will separate a sea from in front of us so that we are not blocked; You will heal us of our afflictions. You will never let go of us—never, ever.
