What a beautiful sight—seeing children running into the living room full of gifts from Santa. The look in their eyes is magical. When our kids were younger, we got a series of CDs from a singer known as Raffi. The song “On Christmas Morning” is my favorite.
Waiting, throughout the year, for Christmas Morning to be here,
And counting how many days, till Christmas morning drawing near,
On Christmas Morning I’ll wake up bright and early,
Be the first one out of bed, with the mistletoe above my head,
Family and Friends are here, On the very best morning of the year…
As parents and grandparents, we are so excited to see the look in the eyes of the children running into this exciting day, we would do anything for them! How do you think Jesus in heaven looks upon us as we accept Him as our Savior? As we run with excitement to Him! And when we struggle, as we sometimes do, we know He would do anything for us, anything!
You can ask him for anything, using my name, and I will do it, for this will bring praise to the Father because of what I, the Son will do for you, yes, ask anything, using my name, and I will do it!
John 14:13
So today, on Christmas Day, we give thanks to You, Father, for giving us salvation through Your Son. We pray to You, Father, to provide us the strength, courage, and faith to continue our run towards you, as children running into a room full of gifts, and we thank You for preparing that room for us, on this very best morning of the year!
Have a Merry Christmas Day.
