Every week, I sit down at the computer, not sure what that day’s message will be. Sure, some days I have a good indication as to what to write, but most days, it’s just a blank word document waiting to be typed. All I see when I start is a blinking cursor in front of me. I know He will provide; I’m just not sure what it is going to look like until He is done with it.
He parted the Red Sea. He provided water out of rocks. Yet, they still doubted. So, he provided Manna from Heaven.
“Oh, that we were back in Egypt,” they moaned, “and that the Lord had killed us there! For there we had plenty to eat. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to kill us with starvation.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for them. Everyone can go out each day and gather as much food as he needs. And I will test them in this, to see whether they will follow my instructions or not.”
Exodus 16:3
Do you doubt? I sure do! Where will the provision come from? How will I make it through this problem, this deadline, this heartache? But He will provide. He has in the past. He took care of His people in the desert; He has taken care of you and me before. Trust Him; just like Manna from Heaven, He will provide!
So today, Father, we thank You for all the provision You have already provided us. We look around and do see that we are truly blessed. We read in the book of Exodus how we can so quickly forget what miracles You have provided us and demand more from You, like a spoiled child. We pray today that we remain patient, waiting on You to deliver us from whatever trial or tribulation that we are in the midst of. We know our battle is Your battle. We pray today to stay in Your truth; to stay open to Your guidance and to listen for Your directions. We pray for the strength to follow Your lead. Amen.
Have a Blessed Day.
