Dear Marriage Transformed,
We got your free marriage assessment tool and my husband, and I rated ourselves a 1 and a 2, respectfully. We have been married 8 years and have no children. Finances have always been an issue with us. We just do not connect. We cannot even imagine what a 10 would feel like, let alone a 5 or 6. Do you know anyone at that level and how did they get there? We need help—quick!
Sincerely,
Distressed in Denver
Dear Distressed in Denver,
We are a couple who were below 0 when we first met Tim and Diana, and happy to say we are now a 10. So YES, it is possible. It has been a journey of hard work, but we have learned to work as a “team” in all areas of our marriage including finances. For us, we agreed to sit down together on the first of each month and pay our bills together. This also gave us an opportunity to talk about future expenses and goals for savings. This allowed us to manage our finances together. It was one of the many small steps that took us in a different direction, the journey to being a 10!
Praying for you by those who have been there.
Happy Together in Florida
