As we go through our trials, it is hard to see the silver lining. We tend to focus on the worry, the weakness we feel, the stomach-churning, the stress. You know the feeling. However, sometimes we need to try to step away from our problems and take a different view to see the benefit of our situation. For me, that silver lining has been the time I have spent in God’s Word. For all my troubles, I have found refuge in His Word. It has provided me strength, hope, and the desire to love more. I never realized the power of the Word until recently.
God’s Word has the answers you need, but you’ve got to read the Bible to find them. But you’re not sure where to start? Well, today, let’s focus on when you are worried:
“Give all your worries… to God… he cares about you.”
1 Peter 5:7“Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything.”
Philippians 4:6“He is my rock and my salvation … I will not be shaken.”
Psalms 62:6-7“You … keep in perfect peace all who trust You.. whose thoughts are fixed on You.”
Isaiah 26:3“The Lord … will … go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
So, today, we pray for all that receive this message, that we find our refuge in the promises already provided to us, that we find hope that is already assured, that we learn to believe that the victory is already ours, and that the love we want has already been given to us. Lord, you have given all this to us. You have provided Your Good News. Give us the desire to spend time with You in Your Word.
Have a great day.
