The Story of the Starfish

Why the Starfish?

Because it Regenerates. Our life is about the Journey through the trials, temptations and treasures in our lives. It is about regenerating our relationships, marriages, and selves. How perfect for the focus of our Ministry of The Journey Through because it is all about Regeneration.

We were walking on a beach in Florida when we came across a starfish, but something was wrong, one of it’s legs was broken. I told Diana it was dead, but she knew differently. Diana was aware that Starfish regenerate.

What does it mean to regenerate?

In biology terms, regeneration is the process of renewal, restoration, and growth that makes cells and organisms resilient to natural fluctuations or events that cause disturbance or damage.

In spiritual terms, regeneration is the spiritual transformation in a person, brought about by the Holy Spirit that brings the individual from being spiritually dead to become spiritually alive.

In marital terms, regeneration is the bringing back of a marriage that was broken and cold to a revitalized state. The state of being refreshed and new. Once something is broken, it will never be the same, it will be different. Regeneration is about making the new better than the old.
